RESOLUTION IN RECOGNITION OF ROBERT H. DOBIS
UPON RETIREMENT FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS
WHEREAS, Robert H. Dobis, Road Superintendent for the Department of Public Works,
announced his retirement as of July 2, 2004; and
WHEREAS, Robert H. Dobis began his career with the County of Butte in 1974, as a Traffic
Sign and Marking Man I, in the Department of Public Works, advancing within the Department, to
become Road Superintendent, his present position; and
WHEREAS, Robert H. Dobis worked as a Traffic Sign and Marking Man I, Traffic Control
Painter I, Traffic Control Worker II, Traffic Control Worker III, Supervising Traffic Control Worker, and
Road Superintendent in the Public Works Department for many years; and
WHEREAS, Robert H. Dobis has earned the respect of fellow employees, engineers, surveyors,
contractors, and others involved in Public Works activities in Butte County, and has diligently served the
residents of the County of Butte for nearly thirty (30) years with extraordinary distinction and leadership;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that this Board, on its own behalf and on behalf of
the residents of the County of Butte, wish to express to Robert H. Dobis sincere appreciation for his many
years of unselfish dedication and outstanding service rendered to the residents of the County of Butte, and
further wish him well on his retirement.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of
California, this 13'h day of July 2004, by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Dolan, Houx, Josiassen, Yamaguchi and Chair Beeler
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
