RESOLUTION IN RECOGNITION OF MICHAEL R. HORD
UPON RETIREMENT FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS
WHEREAS, Michael R. Hord, Assistant Surveyor for the Land Development Division of the
Department of Public Works, announced his retirement as of August 1, 2004; and
WHEREAS, Michael R. Hord began his career with the County of Butte in 1989, as an extra
help Engineering Aide I, in the Department of Public Works, advancing within the Department, to
become an Assistant Surveyor, his present position; and
WHEREAS, Michael R. Hord worked as an Engineering Aide I, an Engineering Aide II, an
Engineering Tech I, Survey Party Crew Lead, Survey Party Chief and an Assistant Surveyor in the Public
Works Department for many years; and
WHEREAS, Michael R. Hord has earned the respect of fellow employees, engineers, surveyors,
contractors, and others involved in Public Works activities in Butte County, and has diligently served the
residents of the County of Butte for nearly fifteen (15) years with extraordinary distinction and
leadership;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that this Board, on its own behalf and on behalf of
the residents of the County of Butte, wish to express to Michael R. Hord sincere appreciation for his
many years of unselfish dedication and outstanding service rendered to the residents of the County of
Butte, and further wish him well on his retirement.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of
California, this 13`h day of July 2004, by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Dolan, Houx, Josiassen, Yamaguchi and Chair Beeler
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
NOT VOTING: None
