RESOLUTION IN RECOGNITION OF ROBERT M. JONES
UPON RETIREMENT FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS
WHEREAS, Robert M. Jones, Engineering Technician I for the Department of Public Works,
announced his retirement as of August 1, 2004; and
WHEREAS, Robert M. Jones began his career with the County of Butte in 1972 as a Laborer, in
the Department of Public Works, advancing within the Department, to become an Engineering Technician 1,
his present position; and
WHEREAS, Robert M. Jones worked as a Laborer, Engineering Aide Trainee, Junior Engineering
Aide, Senior Engineering Aide, Engineering Aide II, and Engineering Technician I in the Public Works
Department for many years; and
WHEREAS, Robert M. Jones has earned the respect of fellow employees, engineers, surveyors,
contractors, and others involved in Public Works activities in Butte County, and has diligently served the
residents of the County of Butte for thirty-two (32) years with distinction;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that this Board, on its own behalf and on behalf of
the residents of the County of Butte, wish to express to Robert M. Jones sincere appreciation for his many
years of unselfish dedication and outstanding service rendered to the residents of the County of Butte, and
further wish him well on his retirement.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of
California, this 13"' day of July 2004, by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Dolan,
NOES: None
ASSENT: None
NOT VOTING: None
