RESOLUTION IN RECOGNITION OF ROBERT T. McCOLLUM
UPON RETIREMENT FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS
WHEREAS, Robert T. McCollum, Superintendent Flood Control and Drainage Districts for the
Department of Public Works, announced his retirement as of July 15, 2004; and
WHEREAS, Robert T. McCollum began his career with the County of Butte in 1983, as a Tree
Trimmer Climber I, extra help, in the Department of Public Works, advancing within the Department, to
become Superintendent Flood Control and Drainage Districts, his present position; and
WHEREAS, Robert T. McCollum worked as a Tree Trimmer Climber I and II and was promoted
to Lead Bridge Maintenance Worker and Superintendent Flood Control and Drainage Districts in the
Public Works Department for many years; and
WHEREAS, Robert T. McCollum has earned the respect of fellow employees, engineers,
surveyors, contractors, and others involved in Public Works activities in Butte County, and has diligently
served the residents of the County of Butte for nearly twenty-one (21) years with extraordinary distinction
and leadership;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that this Board, on its own behalf and on behalf of
the residents of the County of Butte, wish to express to Robert T. McCollum sincere appreciation for his
many years of unselfish dedication and outstanding service rendered to the residents of the County of
Butte, and further wish him well on his retirement.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of
California, this 13`~ day of July 2004, by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Dolan, Houx, Josiassen, Yamaguchi and Chair Beeler
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
