RESOLUTION TO AMEND THE EXISTING REVOLVING FUND,
DECREASING THE BALANCE, AND EXPANDING ITS USE
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors on February 24, 1976, pursuant to Sections
29320, et seq, of the Government Code of the State of California, adopted a resolution
establishing a revolving fund for the District Attorney's Office to be used for the prepayment of
filing fees for certain civil actions and for advancing the costs involved in levies on Writs of
Execution; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors on July 13`h, 1993, pursuant to Sections 29320, et
seq, of Che Covei-nment Code of the State of California, amended said resolution increasing the
amount to $5,000.00; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors on October 9, 2001, transfen-ed the entire
revolving fund to the then newly formed County Department of Child Support Services; and
WHEREAS, it is now determined to be a necessity to decrease the revolving fund to the
amount of $1,000 to cover Child Support activities involving the prepayment of various filing
fees.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors of the County
of Butte, State of California, as follows:
I. That the resolution adopted by the Board of Supervisors on February 24, 1976, amended
on July 13, 1993, and again amended on October 9, 2001, be amended to read as follows:
II. BE IT RESOLVED, that the revolving fund be decreased to the amount of $1,000 to be
used by the Butte County Department of Child Support Services for the prepayment of
various filing fees. If fees are legally recoverable from the party(ies) involved, they will
be pursued, otherwise this fund will annually be reconciled with then current Child
Support Services appropriations.
III. That within cun•ent Child Support Services appropriations, in accordance with Auditor-
Controller directions, pursuant to Government Code § 29320, the Auditor-Controller
return $4,000 to the Child Support Services General Fund.
IV. That the County Administrative Officer is instructed pursuant to Section 29323 of the
Government Code of the State of California to amend by endorsement the blanket fidelity
bond of the County to be conditioned, in addition to its other provisions, upon the faithful
administration of the revolving fund and upon the willingness and ability of the principal
for whom such fund has been established to account for and pay over the fund upon
demand of the Board of Supervisors at any time.

California, on the 3r`' day of August 2004 by the following vote:
