RESOLUTION IN APPRECIATION
OF
MITCHELL MEDVED
Whereas, this Board expresses its appreciation to M17'C'HELL M. Mf.I~GE~ for his 20 years of
dedicated sen-ice to the Butte County Sheriff's OCGce.
Whereas, M17't'HELL M. MEI~L'ED began his law enforcement career ~~°ith the Butte County
Sheriff's Office as an Extra-Help Records and Identification Technician in March of 1979. In October of
19$4 he Evas hired as a full time Records and [dentiiication Technician. MI'I ('Hf,ZL Mf:7)Yh'1~ vas
subsequently reclassified as a Photographic Evidence Technician. During the ensuing years he was
responsible for developing a first rate photographic evidence collection program for the Butte County
Sheriffs Office. MIl'('Hh7.1, ME:Z)G1~1) is also credited with introducing and utilising innovative
photographic techniques involving alternative light sources such as infrared and ultraviolet. Due in no small
part to MITC'Hf.7,L ME,7~YT~:1~ :S' work ethic and professional photographic expertise, countless complicated
investigations «~ere brought to successful eoneiusion.
Whereas, after serving the citirens of Butte County for 20 years, MI'1'('HIiLh M. Mh'Dl~fi1) is
retiring ai September 1, 2004.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE [T RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors on its own behalf. and on
behalf of the residents of the Counts of Butte:
That said Board expresses their deep appreciation for the unselfish dedication and devotion given b}
MII'('Hk'LI: M. Mh'1)6'L7~ during his career vti~~ith the Butlc County Sheriff's Office.
