RESOLUTION IN APPRECIATION OF
LOU ELLEN SAVILLE
WHEREAS, Lou Ellen Saville, Case Manager II with the Butte County
Department of Child Support Services, announced her retirement effective December 30,
?004; and
WHEREAS, Lou Ellen Saville began her career with Butte County on September
15, 1980 as a Typist Clerk I with the Department of Public Health -Environmental
Health, promoting to Typist Clerk II on October 24, 1981, and maintaining that position
until her resignation on October 5, 1984; and
WHEREAS, Lou Ellen Saville was re-hired on November 4, 1985 as a Typist
Clerk II with the Department of Employment and Social Services (formerly known as the
Welfare Department); was promoted to Eligibility Worker I on August 18, 1986, and was
promoted to Eligibility worker II on February 5, 1987; and
WHEREAS, Lou Ellen Saville was promoted to Social Worker I on December
17, 1990, and January 29, 1991, took a voluntary demotion to Eligibility Worker II where
she stayed until she resigned on September 17, 1993; and
WHEREAS, Lou Ellen Saville was hired on January 11, 1994 as an extra help
Enforcement Officer l with the Department of Child Support Services (formerly known
as the District Attorney -- Family Support Division) and. was re-hired permanently into
that position on Jaluiary 28, 1994; and
WHEREAS, Lou Ellen Saville was promoted to Enforcement Officer II on March
12, 1994 until April 25, 1995 when she vas reclassified as a Family Suppart Case
Manager II. She was promoted to Family Support Case Manager III on February 8, 1997
and voluntarily demoted to Family Support Case Manager II on November 29, 1997 and
has been working in that capacity to the present day.
WHEREAS, Lou Ellen Saville has been a hard working, devoted and
conscientious Butte County employee for over 21 years, 11 months anal has voluntarily
taken on numerous projects and assignments to further the Department's performance
goals; and.
WHEREAS, Lou E11en Saville has been a member of the Butte County
Employee's Association since July 25, 1995; shop steward from October 22, 2001 to a
director on the board for the union from September, 2002 to September, 2004, working
hard to assist fellow employees as well as management towards productive and
meaningful communication; and
WHEREAS Lou Ellen Saville's lifelong commitment has forever enhanced the
lives of thousands of children and families.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors wishes to
express to Lou Ellen Saville sincere appreciation for her many years of dedication and
service to Butte County, and further, wishes her well on her retirement.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors this 30th day of November
2004 by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors
NOES: None
ABSENT: Supervisor
