RESOLUTION BY THE BUTTE COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS TO
APPLY FOR AND OBTAIN A LOCAL GROUNDWATER ASSISTANCE GRANT
PURSUANT TO THE LOCAL GROUNDWATER MANAGEMENT ACT OF 2000
Be it resolved by the Butte County Board of Supervisors that application be made
by the Butte County Department of Water and Resource Conservation to the California
Department of Water Resources to obtain a Local Groundwater Assistance grant pursuant
to the Local Groundwater Management Assistance Act of 2000 (Water Code Section
10795 cat sc~y.), and to enter into an agreement to receive a grant for the Butte County
Basin Management Objective Information Center (BMOIC).
The Director of the Butte County Department of Water and Resource
Conservation is hereby authorized and directed to prepare the necessary data, make
investigations, execute, and file such application with California Department of Water
Resources, and to integrate this effort where feasible with the Sacramento Valley Water
Management Program and the efforts for coordinated regional water planning in the
Sacramento Valley.
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Butte County Board of Supervisors
on November 30, 2004 by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Dolan, Houx, Yamaguchi and Chair Beeler
NOES: None
ABSENT: Supervisor Josiassen
NOT VOTING: None
