1~ESOLUTION INAPPRECIATION OF R..I. BEF.LER,
SUPERVISOR, DISTRICT 1
~KEREAS, after a successful 3a year career with the Pacific Gas c~ Electric Company;
and
WHEREAS, an overabundance of natural energy and ability made it impossible for him. to
"sit still " in retirement; and
WHEREAS, County Government appeared to be the perfect "immovable ubject" to match
his "irresistible force; "and
WHEREAS that "irresistible force" has been successfully "brought to bear" against such
"immovable objects " as Lake Oroville Re-licensure, County Water and Natural Resource
Conservation, Aquifer Preservation, the Ize-vitalization of Local Economies, Community
Development, Outreach for the Disadvantaged, and a more efficient and "user friendly" County
Government; and
WHEREAS, his energy, candor, humor, integrity, and counsel will be greatly missed by
those of us who have had the pleasure, honor, and privilege to work with him.
NOW, TILEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that after serving the residents of the County of
Butte for eight years as District 1 Supervisor, this Board expresses appreciation and recognition for
your services to the residents of the County of Butte, and•further, wishes you well in the future.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of~ Supervisors this 14Th day of

AYES: Supervisors Dolan, Houx, and Yamaguchi and Vice-Chair.Iosiassen
