RESO[.UTION IN RF,COGNITION OF SHARON S. MC NEIL
UPON RETIREMENT FROM THE BUTTE COUNTY DISTRICT ATTORNEY'S OFFICE
WHEREAS, Sharon S. McNeil, Legal Secretary I[ for the Butte County District Attorney's Office,
has announced her retirement as of December 30, 2004; and
WHEREAS, Sharon 5. McNeil began her career with Butte County on November 27, 1995 as an
extra help Office Assistant [[I with the District Attorney's Welfare Fraud Unit, and
WHEREAS, Sharon S. McNeil advanced as an extra help Legal Typist Clerk in the District
Attorney's Child Abduction Unit on March 23, 1996, and
WHEREAS, Sharon S. McNeil was appointed as a regular help Legal Typist Clerk with the
District Attorney's Child Abduction lJnit on October 19, 1996, and
WHEREAS, Sharon S. McNeil was promoted to a Legal Secretary II on December 13, 1997 and
served in the Child Abduction Unit until .lune 26, 1999 when she was assigned to the Criminal
DivisionJJuvenile Unit afthe District Attorney's Office, and
WHEREAS, Sharon S. McNeil has demonstrated a high level of knowledge in juvenile legal
procedures, the high standards of her profession and an extraordinary conscientiousness to her duties and
has worked with numerous attorneys in the District Attorney's Office who came to rely on her, and
WHEREAS, Sharon 5. McNeil has diligently and faithfully served the residents of the County of
Butte for Eight Years (8} years and two (?) months with pride and distinction.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE ["f RESOLVED, that the Board of Supervisors, on its own behalf and
on behalf of the residents of the County of Butte, wish to express to Sharon S. McNeil sincere appreciation
for her many years of unselfish dedication and outstandin~~ service rendered to the residents of the County
of Butte, and further wish her well on her retirement.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of
California, this 1~`~' day of December 200, by the following vote;
AYES: Supervisors Dolar_, Houx, Josiassen, Yamaguchi and Chair Beeler
NOES: None
