HomeMy WebLinkAbout04-235~•-- 5 -. +• ~~• ~~ •'~ •t~ ~/y-~ •1 T ~~4 :*: ;* ~ ~`" ,~,~•~ ,~ ,•„J• BO-,~#R© OF vU PERV FORS COUNTY 4F BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA ~~ ~i ~~ ~'' esolufic~n No. 04-235 .• "° RESOLUTION IN RECOGNITION OF BERTA ANDERSON UFON RETIREMENT FROM BUTTE COUNTY PUBLIC HF,ALTH DEPARTMENT WHEREAS, Bet-ta Anderson has announced her retirement as of December 31, 2004; and WHI±:REAS, Berta Anderson graduated from the }-lighland Alameda hospital School of Nursing in 1961 and California State University at Chico in 1970; and WHEREAS, Berta Anderson provided Butte County Public Flealth Nru~sing services in the districts of Oroville, Concow, and Chico between 1970 and 1976; and WHERF,AS, Berta Anderson helped initiate the Denver Development Screening Test at Vl~'ell Baby Clinics during that time; and WHEREAS, Berta Anderson returned to the Public Health Department in 1993 to assist in initiating the first program far Public Health Nurses assigned to the Department of Social Services in the Adult Services Division; and ~'VHF..REAS, Berta Anderson oversaw the development of the Special Needs Awareness Program for emergency preparation of senior citizens in their homes in Butte County; and WHEREAS, Berta Anderson's untiring dedication to the citizens of Butte County has served as a mode) to all service providers. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors wishes to express to Berta Anderson sincere appreciation for her many years of~dedication and service to Butte County, and further, wishes her ~~~ell on her retirement.
