UPON RETIREMENT FROM
BiJTTE COUNTY PUBLIC HEALTH DEPARTMENT
F,NVIRONMEN'I'AI, HEALTH DIVISION

WHEREAS, Mildred {Mi11ie} Flatter announced her retirement as of December 30, 2004; and
WHEREAS, Millie Flatter began her career with Butte County in July, 1963, as a Clerk Typist II with the
Welfare Department and left County employment to work for the State of California as a 'T'ypist Clerk H; and
WHEREAS, in April 1980, Mi11ie returned to Butte County as a 'Typist Clerk 1 in the Purchasing
Depa~~tment and then transferred to tl7e Enviroml~ental Health Division of the Public Health Department on August
1, 1981 as a "Typist Clerk I in the Oroville office. She vvas promoted to "Typist Clerk 1[ on November 7, 1981, and
to Principal Clerk on October l3, 1990, where she has served Butte County for the past fourteen years; and
WHEREAS, Millie Flatter has been a hard workin;, conscientious employee for twenty-three years
helping to keep Environmental Health organized and efficient,~Millie has worked with the past five Director"s of
Environmental Health. Her experience, knowledge and ability to communicate has allowed her to excel in her
duties and responsibilities over the years; and
WHEREAS, Millie Flatter, has always been helpful and professional and has ea--ned friendship and respect
throughout the Public Tlealth Department; and
WHEREAS, Millie Flatter has exhibited both flexibility and patience in handling unusual circumstances,
as well as high level of dedication to Public E-fealth and to the County.
NOVV, THEREFORE, HE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors wishes to express to Millie
Flatter sincere appreciation ~t~r her many years of dedication and service to Butte County, and Curther, wishes her
well on her retirement.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors this 14`x' day of December 2004 by
the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Dolan, Houx, .iosiassen, Yamaguchi and Chair Beeler
NOES: None
