RESOLUTION IN RF,C'OGNITION OF GRE(T LYON
UPON RETIREMENT FROM
BUTTE COUNTY PUBLIC HEALTH llEPARTMENT
ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH nIVISiON
WHEREAS, Greg Lyon, Environmenta) I3ealth Specialist I[I, announced his retirement as of December 30,
2004; and
WHEREAS, Greg Lyon began his career with the County of Butte on November 13, 1990, as an
Environmental Health Specialist 11 working for the Department of Public Health, Environmental E{ealth Division;
and
WHEREAS, on November 15, 1997, Greg was promoted to Environmental } {ealth Specialist 111 where he
worked until September 27, 2002, and rehu-ned to Public Health on April 12. 2003, to work as an Enviromncntal
Health Specialist Ill; and
WHERE;'~S, Greg 1,yon has served in several program areas including Land Use, Public hood Facility.
and Underground Storage "I'anh!Hazardous Materials programs where he has always been energetic, helpful and
professional Greg has shown considerable enthusiasm and good humor in his varied assignments and has been a
source of inspiration to his coworkers; and
WHEREAS, Greg Lyon has diligently worked in the best interest of Butte County, and has earned the
respect of his fellow employees, professional contacts, and others involved in Environmental Health activities in
Butte County.
NOW, THEREFORE, BF, I"T RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors wishes to express to Greg Lyon
sincere appreciation for his many years of` dedication and service to Butte County, and further, wishes him well on
his retirement.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors this 14`x' day of December 200 by
the following vote;
AYES: Supervisors Dolan, Roux, Josiassen, Yamaguchi and Chair T3eeler
