RESOLUTION IN RECOGNITION OF LINDA PEARSON
UPON RETIREMENT FROM
BUTTE COUNTY PUBLIC HEALTH DEPARTMENT

~'fHEREAS, I_~inda Pearson, Nutrition Assistant I11 for the Women, Enfant and Children's (WIC) Program,
announced her retirement as of December 31st, 2Q04; and
WHEREAS, Linda Pearson began her ca--eer with the Public Flealth Department in May of 1985 as a
Community Health Aid in the W[C Program; and
WHEREAS, Linda Pearson was promoted to Senior Community }health Aid in April 1988 to oversee the
Oroville and Gridley WIC sites and was later changed to the title of Nutrition Assistant III; and
WHEREAS, Linda Pearson has been a compassionate and hard working employee, teaching women about
nutrition for themselves and their babies. Linda is a well-loved figure in the community and has seen WIC` babies
become WIC mothers themselves. In her gentle manner, she has trained and supervised employees while always
encouraging them to do the best they can; and
WHEREAS, Linda exemplities the type of employee the Public Health Department che--ishes and will be
greatly missed by the entire staff.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE [T RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors wishes to express to Linda
Pearson sincere appreciation for her many years of dedication and service to Butte County, and further, wishes her
well on her retirement.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors this l~'~' day of December 200d by
