RESOLUTION IN RECOGNITION OF DEBORAH PIERCE
UPON RETIREMENT FROM
BUTTE COUNTY PUBLIC HEALTH DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS, Deborah Pierce has announced her retirement as of December 31, 2004; and
WHEREAS, Deborah Pierce graduated from California State University at Chico; and
WHEREAS, Deborah Pierce has served in Maternal Child Public health Nursing sincel991 and
has been a principal educator for the medical professional community of Butte County teaching benefits,
techniques, and current research in the field of breastfeeding; and
Vt'IIEREAS, Deborah Pierce was a member of the California State Breastfeeding Promotion
Committee and has been an expert resource for breastfeeding families in Butte County; and
WHEREAS, Deborah Pierce has willingly shared her successful IL~Iaternal Child home visiting
style with staff and Public Health Nursing students.
DeboralSOW' THEREFORE, BF, IT RESOI:VED that the Board of Su ervisors wishes to express to
