RESOLUTION IN RECOGNITION OF JOANN SMITH
UPON RETIREMENT FROM
BUTTE COUNTY PUBLIC HEALTH DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS, .1oAnn Smith has announced her retirement as of December 30, 2004; and
WHEREAS, .IoAnn Smith began her career with the County of Butte on August 17, 1987, as an Account
Clerk for the Public Health Department, General Administration; and
WHEREAS, JoAnn Smith promoted to Senior Account Clerk in 1990, providing fiscal support to various
Public Health Nursing, Health Education and Environmenta] health programs. In 1992, JoAnn was promoted to
Administrative Services Assistant, providing supprn~t to the Public Health Director, Health Oftcer and the Assistant
Director of Public Health, in addition to performing the department"s payroll and personnel responsibilities; and
WHEREAS, JoAnn Smith has been a dedicated employee, dependable and committed to performing
quality work. Her supervisors and coworkers have come to rely on, and appreciate, her efficiency and strong
organizational skills; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BF IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supers-isors wishes to express to .fo;lnn
Smith sincere appreciation for her many years of dedication and service to Butte County, and further, wishes her
well on her retirement.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of~ Supervisors this 14`x' day of December 2004 by
the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Dolan, 1loux, Josiassen, Yamaguchi rind Chair Beeler
NOES: None
