RESOLUTION IN RECOGNITION OF RONALD W. OLSON
UPON RETIREMENT FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS
WHEREAS, Ronald Olson, Supervising Traffic Control Worker for the Department of Public
Works, announced his retirement as of December 30, 2004; and
WHEREAS, Ronald Olson began his career with the County of Butte in 1988 as a Vehicle
Service Worker in the Department of Public Works, advancing within the Department to become a
Supervising Traffic Control Worker, his present position; and
WHEREAS, Ronald Olson worked as a Vehicle Service Worker, Road Maintenance Worker I,
Traffic Control Worker I, Traffic Control Worker II, Lead Traffic Control Worker, and Supervising
Traffic Control Worker in the Public Works Department for many years; and
WHEREAS, Ronald Olson has earned the respect of fellow employees, engineers, surveyors,
contractors, and others involved in Public Works activities in Butte County, and has diligently served the
residents of the County of Butte for sixteen years with extraordinary distinction and leadership;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that this Board, on its own behalf and on behalf of
the residents of the County of Butte, wishes to express to Ronald Olson sincere appreciation for his many
years of unselfish dedication and outstanding service rendered to the residents of the County of Butte, and
further wishes him well on his retirement.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of
California, this I4"' day of December 2004 by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Dolan, Houx, Josiassen, Yamaguchi and Chair Beeler
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
NOT VOTING: None
