Resolution No. 04-255
RESOLUTION IN RECOGNITION OF ANDREW G. SAMUELSON
UPON RETIREMENT FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS
WHEREAS, Andrew Samuelson, Lead Bridge Maintenance Worker for the Department of
Public Works, announced his retirement as of December 17, ?004; and
WHEREAS, Andrew Samuelson began his career with the County of Butte in 1988 as a Road
Maintenance Worker I in the Department of Fublic Works, advancing within the Department to become a
Lead Bridge Maintenance Worker, his present position; and
WHEREAS, Andrew Samuelson worked as a Road Maintenance Worker I, Road Maintenance
Worker II, Road Maintenance Worker III, and Lead Bridge Maintenance Worker in the Public Works
Department for many years; and
WHEREAS, Andrew Samuelson has earned the respect of fellow employees, engineers,
surveyors, contractors, and others involved in Public Works activities in Butte County, and has diligently
served the residents of the County of Butte for sixteen years with extraordinary distinction and leadership.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that this Board, on its own behalf and on behalf of
the residents of the County of Butte, wishes to express to Andrew Samuelson sincere appreciation for his
many years of unselfish dedication and outstanding service rendered to the residents of the County of
Butte, and further wishes him well on his retirement.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of
California, this 14"' day of December 2004 by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Dolan, Houx, Josiassen, Yamaguchi and Chair Beeler
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
NOT VOTING: None
