RESOLUTION INAPPRECIATION
OF
KARL BERYAR
Whereas, this Board expresses its appreciation to KARL /3t:~R}AIZ for his 2l years ofdedicaled
service to the Butte Caunty Sheriff s Office.
Whereas, KARL f31~7,'3'AR began his law enforcement career with the Butte Count}~ Sheriff's Office
as a Correctional Oflieer for the lnearceration Division in Januarv~ of 1984. In 1986 C'ORRf.C'77ONA1,
l)f•7~I['~R RI72YAR ~~°as assigned to the Oro~~ille Justice Court as a Bailiff for the Honorable Judge Jerome
Warren. In 1989 ('ORRf.'('77(1tVAL Off-77(7.71 BL'1zYAR attended the Butte Law Enforcement Acadcm<< and
was sworn in as a Deputy Sheriff. 1)/:1'(1!7" RI:RYAR continued his Cme work in the Court Security Unit and
was assigned to the Honorable Judge Darrell Stevens at the Chico Municipal Court in 199E [n 1994
1)1:'/'11%'Y I31:72YAR was assigned to the Honorable Judge Roger Gilbert at the Superior Court. in 1997
L~Is'f'U77" 13IiRYAR began ~~orking ~~~ith the Honorable Judge Gerald Hermansen and has continued in that
assignment. During his career 1)1;TtITY f31:'RYAR has dedicated himself to ensuring a safe and prafessional
work environment for the Butte County Superior Court Judges and staff.
Whereas, after sen~ing the citizens of Butte County for 21 years, KARf, f31:RYAR is retiring on
December 27. 2Q04.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Super, isors on its own behalf. and on
behalf of the residents of the Counh~ of Butte:
That said Board expresses their deep appreciation for the unselfish dedication and devotion given by~
Utl'(I`/~YKARL t31:7lYAR during his career ~~ith the Butte Cotmt~- Sheriff"s Office.
