RESOLUTION IN APPRECIATION
OF
BARBARA MASON
Whereas, this Board expresses its appreciation to t3ARBAIZA MASON for her 27 years of dedicated
scr, ice to Buite County.
Whereas, t3AKt3ARA MASON, began her career with Butte County as a Mail Clerk in 1977. In
January of (978 she was hired as Dispatcher Gerk by Sheriff Larry Gilliek. t;'ARRAIZA h1ASUN faced
numerous crises in the Dispatch Center including serious felonies in progress and at-risk missing people: she
could ahvavs be relied upon to handle each situation in a cool. calm and courageous manner. In Seplembcr of
1989 i3AKRAllA MASON became a Work Furlough Officer for the hlcareeration Division. ]n i 995 she ~4~as
selected to her current position as the Pre-Trial Release Manager. I3ARRAKA MASON has worked under six
Sheriffs and successfully worked mam different assignments during her career with the ShcrifCs OCCice.
Due to her experience and technical knowledge, Judges, court staff and co-«orkers have came to rcly_ on her
for information.
Whereas, after scn~ing the citizens of Butte Cotmtti~ for 27 years, RAKI3AI~A MASON is retiring on
December 30. 21)04.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors on its own behaiL and on
behalf of the residents of the Countti~ of Butte:
That said Board expresses their deep appreciation for the unselfish dedication and devotion given b}
t3AIZf3ARA MASON during her career with Butte County.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors this l4"' da_v of December 2004 by the
following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Dolan, Houx, Josiassen, Yamaguchi and Chair Beeler
