RESOLUTION REQUESTING APPROVAL TO APPLY FOR A JUVENILE
ACCOUNTABILITY BLOCK GRANT
WHEREAS, the Butte County Probation DeparUnent desires to undertake a certain pro.jcc~ designated
the Juvenile accountability Blocl: Grant to be funded in part from funds made a~~ailablc throLl~~h the
.iuvenile Accountability Blocl< Grant Program administered by the Board of Corrections (hereinafter
referred to as BOC), now
THEREFORF, BE IT RESOLVED that the Chairman of the Board of Supervisors of~ Butte County is
authorized, on its behalf to submit the attached proposal to BOC and is authorised to sign and approve on

thereof.
BE [T FURTHER RESOLVED that the applicant agrees to provide all matching funds required for said
project (including any amendment thereof) under the Program and the funding terms and conditions of
BOC and that the match will be appropriated as required.
IT IS AGREED chat any liability arising out of the performance of this Grant sward l\greement,
including civil court actions for damages, shall be the responsibility of the grant recipient and the
authorising a~~cncy. 'l~he State of California and BOC disclaim responsibility for any such liability.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that grant funds received hereunder shall not be used to supplant
expenditlu~es controlled by this body.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte C Dusty Board of Supervisors this 26th day of
April 2005 by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Connelly, Dolan, Houx, Josiassen and Chair Yamaguchi
NOES: None
ABSENT: None ~.
