RESOLUTION IN APPRECIATION OF
LUMPKIN ROAD COMMUNITY CLEAN-UP COMMITTEE
WHEREAS, the heaith, well-being and safety of the community is of vital importance to the
entire well-being of Butte County; and
WHEREAS, members of the Feather Falls/Craig-Mooretown Ridge areas, in order to
enhance and maintain their health and well-being, have participated in a Community Clean-up of
Lumpkin Road between Forbestown Road and Enterprise Bridge and surrounding roads on
April 8 - 10, 2005; and
WHEREAS, dedicated volunteers worked in heavy rain and finally sunshine to fill four
dumpsters with tires, appliances, auto parts, and debris. Over forty-five community volunteers
utilized their weekend to correct the misdeeds of those who used their beautiful roadsides to dump
their waste; and
WHEREAS, participants and supporters of this effort were Grange Members, Craig-
Mooretown Ridge and Feather Falls residents including property owners along the numerous
roadways.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Butte County Board of Supervisors
does hereby proclaim and affirm their appreciation to the supporters of the Lumpkin Road
Community Clean-up Committee, encourages the value of community pride, and their method of
promoting the health and welfare of Butte County.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by Butte County of Supervisors this 10"' day of May 2005 by
the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Connelly, Dolan, Houx, Josiassen and Chair Yamaguchi
NOES: None _
ABSENT: None
NOT VOTING: None ~.
