RF,SOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CHEF PROBATION OFFICER TO SUBMIT AN
APPLICATION FOR FUNDS PURSUANT TO THF. CRIME CONTROL AND SAFE
STREETS ACT OF 1968, AMENDED IN 1994 UNDER THE CRIME ACT
WHEREAS, the County of Butte desires to continue a certain project that is funded in part ti~om funds made
available through the anti-Drub ilbuse Enforcement Program (nDA), administered by the Governor's Office of
P,mergency Services (OES).
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Chief Probation Officer of the Co~mty of Butte is
authorized on its behal f to submit the attached proposal to OES, and is authorized to execute on behaH~ of the
Board of Supervisors the attached Grant Ativard Agreement including any extensions or amendments thereto, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the applicant agrees to provide all matching funds required for said
project (including any amendments thereof) under the Program and funding terms and conditions of OES, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that any liability arising out of the performance of the Grant hward
agreement, including civil court actions for damages, shall be the responsibility of the grant recipient and the
authorizing agency, and
BE IT FURTHER RF,SOLVEU, that grant funds received from OI?S shall not be used to supplant expenditures
controlled by this body.

June 2005 by the following vote:
