RESOLUTION APPOINTING THE CHIEF ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER, OR HIS
DESIGNEE, AS THE INTERIM DIRECTOR OF DEVELOPMENT SERVICES
WHEREAS, Yvonne Christopher, Director of Development Services, has announced her decision to
resign her position effective August 1, 2005; and
WHEREAS, Yvonne Christopher plans to leave Butte County effective the end of business on July 15,
2005, using earned vacation time until her resignation becomes effective; and
WHEREAS, the Butte County Code and California statutes vest certain responsibilities and authorities in
the position of Development Services Director; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors, County of Butte, desires that projects and processes currently
pending in the Development Services Department and planned for the near future not be delayed due to
Ms. Christopher's departure; and,
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors, County of Butte, desire consistent leadership for the department
during this period of transition.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that, effective July I5, 2005, the Board of Supervisors,
County of Butte, hereby appoints the Chief Administrative Officer, or his designee, to act as the
Development Services Director until such time as the County of Butte employs a new Director;
AND, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Chief Administrative Officer is
authorized to execute personal services contracts with qualified individuals to assist the Chief
Administrative Officer in the performance of his duties as the Interim Development Services Director.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte on this 28"' day of June
2005, by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
NOT VOTING: None
