Resolution No. ~.. L+OVN ,•~ RESOLUTION IN SUPPORT OF AN APPLICATION FOR AN INTEGRATED REGIONAL WATER MANGEMENT PROGRAMS GRANT UNDER PROPOSITION 50 THE WATER SECURITY, CLEAN DRINKING WATER, AND COASTAL AND BEACH PROTECTION ACT OF 2002 WHEREAS, the California electorate approved The Proposition 50 Water Bond initiative in November 2002 that provided an additional $3.44 billion in grant and loan funds, and WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors approved the Director of Water & Resource Conservation to pursue funding for Butte County projects in the implementation language of Proposition 50 in Resolution No. 02-179, and WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors approved the Integrated Water Resources Plan developed by the Department of Water & Resource Conservation in Resolution No. OS-067, and WHEREAS, the County of Butte has identified several projects, which will require additional state funding as may be provided by the Integrated Regional Water Management Programs section of the Proposition 50 implementation language. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte hereby finds, determines and declares as follows that the Director of the Department of Water and Resource Conservation is authorized to work with adjoining counties and water agencies in applying for grants to fund water-related projects submitted by the County of Butte including the Rock Creek/Keefer Slough Flood Control and Recharge Project, the Paradise Ridge Water Supply Reliability and Public Safety Project, the Butte and Tehama Counties Pilot Groundwater Recharge Projects, the Glen/Butte/Colusa/Tehama Water Quality Enhancement Project, the Palermo and Bangor Canal Water Use Efficiency Projects, and the Lower Tuscan Water Supply Reliability 05-089 and Water Quality Projects. PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors this 28th day Of June 2005 by the following vote: AYES: Supervisors Connelly, Dolan, Houx, Josiassen, and Chair Yamaguchi NOES: None ABSENT: None NOT VOTING: None ATTEST: PAUL E.
