RESOLUTION IN APPRECIATION
OF
Marianne Graves
Whereas, this Board expresses its appreciation to Mariur~rtc Graves for her 22 years of dedicated
service to Butte County.
Whereas, Muriurt~~e Grcn~es began her employment with Butte County at the Public Health
Department in January 1983, as a Typist Clerk 1[. In September of 1984 Marianne was hired by the Butte
County Sheriffi s Oftce as a Typist Clerk I[1 in the Dime Prevention Division. In January 1987 she
became a Public Safety Dispatcher. Marianne has worked a variety of assignments in the Dispatch Center,
including Communications Training Otficer and acting supervisor. [n November of ?000 Marianne
C;rcn~es was promoted to Dispatch Supervisor. The dispatcher profession is highly stressful and it is
commendable that Marianne maintained her excellent skills, dedication and sense of humor for the full 18
years. Marianne was well respected by dispatch staff and as au integral part of the Sheriff management
team she will be sorely missed.
Whereas, after serving the citizens of Butte Cotmty for 23 years, Marianne Graves is retiring on
July 1 ~, ?00~
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors on its own behalf, and
on behalf of the residents of the County of Butte:
That said Board expresses their deep appreciation for the unselfish dedication and devotion given
by Drsputeh Supervis~~r Muricrnne Ur~aves during her career with the Butte County Sheriff's Office.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors this 12`x' day of July 200 by the
following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Connelly, Dolan, Houx, Josiassen and Chair Yamaguchi
