Resolution No. 05-125
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING ACCEPTANCE OF
GRANT FUNDING UNDER THE
LOCAL GROUNDWATER MANAGEMENT
ASSISTANCE ACT OF 2000 (AB303)
WHEREAS, in November 2004 the Board of Supervisors voted unanimously to
seek funding of $247,820 under the Local Groundwater Assistance Program from the
Department of Water Resources (DWR) for the creation of the Basin Management
Objectives Information Center; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Water and Resource Conservation has been
notified that the application has been successful and funding totaling $247,820 is being
made available: and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Butte County Board of
Supervisors:
The County accepts funding of $247,820 under the Local Groundwater
Assistance Program for the Basin Management Objectives Information Center as
described in the grant application submitted to the Department of Water and Resource
Conservation in November 2004;
2. Authorize Ed Craddock, Director of the Department of Water and
Resource Conservation to sign the appropriate documents on behalf of the County.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors this
27th day of September 2005 by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Connelly, Dolan, Houx, Josiassen and Chair Yamaguchi
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
NOT VOTING: None
