A RESOLUTION APPROVING AN APPLICATION AND CONTRACT EXECUTION
FOR FUNDING FROM THE GENERAL/NATIVE AMERICAN ALLOCATION OF
THE STATE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBG) PROGRAM
AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A GRANT AGREEMENT AND ANY
AMENDMENTS THERETO WITH THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA FOR THE
PURPOSES OF THIS GRANT.
WHEREAS, the County of Butte submitted an application to the State Community
Development Block Grant Program requesting $1,497,320._50 in General Allocation Grant Funds; and
WHEREAS, on August 19, 2005, the County of Butte received notice from the Department of
Housing and Community Development that the County was successful in obtaining $1,294,800 in
General Allocation Grant Funds; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Housing and Community Development requires the County
Board of Supervisors to reallocate funds to the approved grant activities based on the revised grant
amount.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE I1' RESOLVED:
SECTION 1: The Butte County Board of Supervisors hereby approves distributing $1,294,800
in CDBG funds to the following activities:
2005-2006
Butte County Housing Rehabilitation: $226,800
Chico Veterans Hall Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Irraproveryae~its: $208,180
10% set-aside for Southside Oroville Sidewalk Installation: $16,200
10% set-aside for Butte County Library's Books by Mail Program $16,200
General Adrrainistration: $32,600
2006-2007
Butte County Housing Rehabilitation: $275,187
General Administratiafz: $22,313

Paradise Veterans Hall ADA Improveme~its: $91,800
Gridley Veterans Hall ADA Improvements: $102,600

SECTION 2: The County Administrative Officer or his designee is hereby authorized and
directed to act on the County's behalf in all matters pertaining to this grant.
SECTION 3: The County Administrative Officer is hereby authorized to enter into and sign
the grant agreement and any amendments thereto with the State of California for the purposes
of this grant.

2005 by the following vote:
