RESOLUTION ACKNOWLEDGING
THE T.J. MEMORIAL BUTTE COUNTY TOY RUN COMMITTEE
WHEREAS, in accordance with Government Code Section 25355, the Board of Supervisors is
authorized to accept any gift made to the county, and
WHEREAS, The T-J. Memorial Butte County Toy Run Committee, an organization dedicated to
raising funds and providing resources to needy children in Butte County, and
WHEREAS, the T.J. Memorial Butte County Toy Run Committee took on a project to install a
children's play area at the Chico Community Employment Center at 2445 Carmichael., and
WHEREAS, the T.J. Memorial Butte County Toy Run Committee chose this project to enable
children in foster care to visit with their families in a more home-like setting in order to help strengthen and
reunite families, and
WHEREAS, the T-1. Memorial Butte County Toy Run Committee spent their time in fund
raising, painting murals, providing plants, and playground equipment for children in foster care, and
WHEREAS, the County of Butte wishes to acknowledge and thank the T.J. Memorial Butte
County Toy Run Committee for the generous donation of a play area that has enhanced the lives of foster
children and their families.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that:
The Board of Supervisors accepts the donation of various materials and supplies
Various materials and supplies valued at $1,000
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors this 8`~' day of November
2005 by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Connelly, Dolan, Aoux, Josiassen and,Chai~' Yamaguchi
NOES: None - ,
ABSENT: None ~, ~
