FACSIMILE SIGNATURES FOR LIENS RECORDED BY THE BUTTE COUNTY TREASURER-
TAX COLLECTOR
WHEREAS, the Butte County Treasurer Tax Collector periodically
records liens with the office of the Butte County Clerk-Recorder; and
WHEREAS, Government Code Section 27201 (b) (2) provides that a
facsimile signature shall be accepted on a lien recorded by a
governmental agency when that facsimile signature has been offic.i.ally
adopted by that agency and when a copy of the agency's reso].ut.ion o:r
action adopting the signature for facsimile transmission purposes is
provided to the county recorder; and
WHEREAS, use of :facsimile signatures by the Butte County T:reasurer-
'fax Collector saves sr_arce County resources by eliminating the need for.
the signing of individual signatures on thousands of documents;
NOW, 'T'HEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the County of. Butte Board of
Supervisors:
1. Adopts the signatures set forth on Attachment A hereto for facsimile
transmission purposes of liens recorded by the Butte County Treasl_arer~-
I'ax Collecr_o.r.
