RESOLUTION IN APPRECIATION OF
MARILYN R. JONES
WHEREAS, Marilyn R. Jones, Manager-Support Services, announced her retirement as of
December 30, 2005; and
WHEREAS, Marilyn R. Jones began her career with Butte County on April 16, 1991, in the
Welfare Department, Children's Services Division as an extra-help typist and continued her career in
various departments after being hired full-time on August 31, 1991; and
WHEREAS, Marilyn R. Jones joined the Administrative Office as an Administrative
Services Assistant on November 22, 1999, and was promoted to Supervisor-Staff Support Services
on August 31, 2002; and
WHEREAS, Marilyn R. Jones has earned the respect of fellow employees, contractors and
others with whom she has had contact, and has diligently served the residents of the County of Butte
during her 14 years with extraordinary distinction and professionalism in carrying out her duties.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that this Board, on its own behalf and on behalf
of the residents of the County of Butte, wishes to express to Marilyn R. Jones sincere appreciation for
her dedication and outstanding service during her career with Butte County, and further wishes her
well on her retirement.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors this 13`h day of
December 2005 by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Connelly, Dolan, Houx, Josiassen and Chair Yamaguchi
NOES: None ,
ABSENT: None -~
