Resolution NO. 05- 154
RESOLUTION OF THE BUTTE COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
APPROVING THE APPLICATION FOR A FARM & RANCH SOLID WASTE
CLEANUP AND ABATEMENT GRANT FOR THE SELECTED SITES OF:
CONCOW ROAD, llUNSTONE DRIVE & BANGOR PARK ROAD, llOGTOWN ROAD,
LAKE WYANDOTTE, FORKS OF THE BUTTE, GARLANll AND llOE MILL ROAD
WHEREAS, the people of the State of California have enacted Senate Bill 1330 (Lockyer, Statutes
of 1997, Chapter "2.5) which authorizes the California Integrated Waste Management Board
(CIWMB) to award Farm & Ranch Solid Waste Cleanup and Abatement Grants (Grant) to eligible
applicants to pay for designated costs of cleanup, abatement, or other remedial action related to the
disposal of illegal solid waste on farm or ranch property; and;
WHEREAS, the CIWMB requires as a condition of application that the applicant authorizes by
resolution certain matters prior to the submission of the Grant application;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Butte County Board of Supervisors hereby:
1. Authorizes the filing of applications for the Fann and Ranch Solid Waste Cleanup and
Abatement Grants for the period of FY 05/06 through FY 07/08; and
2. Certifies that said applicant has, or will have sufficient funds in addition to funds
provided by the grant to complete the project; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the Director of Public Works, or a designee, is hereby
authorized and empowered to execute in the name of Butte County all necessary Farm & Ranch
Solid Waste Cleanup and Abatement Grant documents, including, but not limited to, the application,
the Grant Agreement, the Grant Payment Requests, and amendments necessary for the purposes of
securing grant funds and for the completion of the Grant project.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors, County of Butte, State of California, this
13`x' day of December, 2005, by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Connelly, Dolan, Houx, Josiassen and Chair Yamaguchi
