WHEREAS, Butte County receives over 5,000 allegations of child abuse and neglect
annually and aver seven hundred aze in out-of--home placement in Butte County in any one month;
and
WHEREAS, the Frank Wafters Children's Trust Fund, a fund made up entirely of
donations from the community, allows Butte County citizens to make tax deductible donations to
help prevent child abuse and neglect when they pay their property taxes; and
WHEREAS, KFZR Radio Station, through their continued commitment to the community
regarding the importance of contributions to the Frank Wafters Children's Trust Fund; and
WHEREAS, the Butte County Boazd of Supervisors recognizes the outstanding efforts of
KFZR Radio Station.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Butte County Board of Supervisors,
on its own behalf and on behalf of the residents of Butte County, wishes to send heartfelt thanks
and appreciation to KFZR Radio Station far their continuing support of Butte County's efforts to
prevent child abuse and neglect.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors this 10~' day of
7anuary 2006 by the following vote:
