RESOLUTION SUPERSEDING RESOLUTION NO.05-125 AUTHORIZING
ACCEPTANCE OF GRANT FUNDING UNDER THE LOCAL GROUNDWATER
MANAGEMENT ASSISTANCE ACT OF 2000 (AB303)
WHEREAS, in November 2004 the Board of Supervisors voted unanimously to
seek funding of $247,820 under the Local Groundwater Assistance Program from the
Department of Water Resources (DWR) for the creation of the Basin Management
Objectives Information Center; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Water and Resource Conservation has been
notified that the application has been successful and funding totaling $247,820 is being
made available; and
WHEREAS, the original resolution adopted September 27, 2005 (No. 05-125)
authorized the farmer Director of the Department of Water & Resource Conservation as
signatory on appropriate documents associated with this contract on behalf of the County;
and
WHEREAS, the new Director of the Department of Water and Resource
Conservation, Toccoy Dudley, should now be authorized to sign appropriate documents
on behalf of the County.
NOW, 'THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Butte County Board of
Supervisors:
1. This new Resolution supersedes former Resolution No. OS-125;
2. The County accepts funding of $247,820 under the Local Crroundwater
Assistance program far the Basin Management Objectives Information Center as
described in the grant application submitted to the Department of Water and
Resource Conservation in November 2004;
3. Authorize Toccay Dudley, Director of the Department of Water and
Resource Canservation to sign the appropriate documents on behalf of the
County.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors this
14th day of February 2006 by the following vote:
