Barris for his 34 years of dedicated service to Butte County. Whereas, Ronald E. Barris began his career with Buffe County as a Reserve Deputy Sheriff in 1969. In February of 1976, he was promoted to Assistant Sergeant of the Chico Reserve Unit. For the next twenty-one X21 y years Ronald E. Barris worked for the Sheriffs Office as a Reserve Deputy Sheriff, Extra-help Jailer, and an Extra-help Law Enforcement Aide. On October 22, 1997, he was promoted to a full time position as a Correctional Officer. CORRECTIONAL OFFICER Barris has been assigned to the Incarceration Division for the past nine years. Wis last assignment was in the Sheriffs Wark Alternative Program, where he was in charge of the Swine Production Unit. Ronald F. Bents received the following commendations during his tenure with the Sheriffs Office: 1992 Deputy Sheriff of the Year- awarded by the Veteran's of Foreign wars Post 2039, Paradise CA 1992 Letter of Appreciation for Outstanding Public Service 1998 Letter of Appreciation for Professionalism and Dedication to Duty 2003 Lei#er of Appreciation #or Outstanding Dedication and Service 2004 Letter of Appreciation for Outstanding Dedication and Service Whereas, after serving the citizens of Butte County for 34 years, Ronald F. Barris retired on February 10, 2006, NOW, TWEREFORE, BI= kT #tESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors on iks awn behalf, and on behalf of the residents of the County of Butte: That said Board expresses their deep appreciation for the unselfish dedication and devotion given by CORRECTIONAL OFFICER Ronald E Balms during his career with the Butte County Sheriff s Office.
