APPLICATION FDR FUNDS PURSUANT TO THE CRIlViE CONTROL AND SAFE
STREETS ACT OF 1968, AMENDED IN 1994 UNDER THE CRIlVIE ACT
WHEREAS, the County of Butte desires to continue a certain project designated the Juvenile Accountability
Block Grant {JABG}that is funded in part from funds made available through the Deparhnent of Corrections and
Rehabilitation/Corrections Standards Authority {CSA}.
NOW, THEREFORE BE 1('.[' RESOLVED, that the Chief Probation Officer of the County of Butte is
authorized on its behalf to submit the attached propasal to CSA, and is authorized to execute on behalf of the
Board of Supervisors the attached Grant Award Agreement including any extensions or amendments thereto, and
BE YT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the applicant agrees to provide all matching funds required for said
project {including any amendments thereof} under the Program and funding terms and conditions of CSA, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that any liability arising aut of the performance of the Grant Award
Agreement, including civil court actions for damages, steal! be the responsibility of the gant recipient and the
authorizing agency, and
BE I'I' FURTHER RESOLVED, that grant funds received from CSA shall not be used to supplant expenditures
controlled by this body.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors this 25th day of
April 20D6 by the following vote;
AYESs Supervisors Connelly, Dolan, Houx, Yamaguchi and Chazr Josiassen
