ENFORCEMENT (HIDE} GRANT
WHEREAS, the Probation Department has been the recipient of grant funds from the California Office
of Traffic Safety in the past far the puzpose of supervising individuals that have been arrested for driving
under the influence, and preventing further alcohol-related offenses from occurring. The program has
been extremely successful, and
WHEREAS, the Office of Traffic Safety has authorized San Diego County Probation to monitor these
funds for the period June 1, 2006 through May 31, 2009, and
WHEREAS, the Probation Department feels the citizens of Butte County would benefit if the program
could continue, and
WHEREAS, the grant application requires that the Board of Supervisors adopt a Resolution authorizing
the Probation Department to accept the grant funding, naw
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Butte County Board of Supervisors recognizes the
continued benef t of the aforementioned program and hereby authorizes the Probation Department to
accept the grant from the Off ce of Traffic Safety for the period of June 1, 2006 through May 31, 2009.
