HomeMy WebLinkAbout06-118Resolution No. o~-i~$ Whereas, the people ofi the State of California have enacted the Off-Highway Matar Vehicle Recreation Act of 9998, which provides funds to the State of California and its political subdivision for planning, acquiring, developing, operating, conserving and maintaining off-highway vehicle recreation; and Whereas, the Off-Highway Motor Recreation Division, within the State of California Department of Parks and Recreation has been delegated the responsibility to administer the program; and Whereas, procedures established by the California Department of Parks and Recreation requires the Applicant to certify, by Resolution, the approval of application prior to submission; Now, therefore be it resolved that the Butte County Board of Supervisor's hereby: 9. Approves the filing of a grant application for Off-Highway Vehicle funding. 2. Certifies that this agency understands its legal obligation to the State upon approval of the grant. 3. Certifies that this Agency understands the California Public Resources Code requirement that acquisition and development projects are maintained to specific conservation standards. 4. Certifies that the project will be maintained during its useful life. 5. Certifies that this Agency wip implement the project with diligence once funds are available and a project agreement has been consummated between the State and this Agency. 6. Certifies that this Agency will provide the required matching funds (as applicable}. T. Certifes that the public and adjacent property owners have been notified of this project (as applicable}. 8. Appoints the Sheriff as agent for the Butte County Sheriffs Office to conduct all negotiations, execute and submit all required documents, including but not necessarily limited to the application, agreements, amendments, payment requests, etc., which maybe necessary for the completion of the project.
