WHEREAS, the Butte County Board of Supervisors established the Department of
Water and Resource Conservation in July 1999; and
WHEREAS, Ed Craddock served as the first Director of the Department of Water and
Resource Conservation from August 1999 until he retired in December of 2005; and
WHEREAS, Ed Craddock has established the Edward A. Craddock Water and Resource
Conservation Scholarship through the Butte College Foundation; and
- WHEREAS, the Butte County Board of Supervisors supports the academic advancement
of its youth through the establishment of such scholarships; and
'WHEREAS, the Butte College Foundation is working with Mr. Craddock to endow the
scholarship at no cost to the County.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the -Butte County Board of Supervisors
hereby resolves to support the efforts of Mr. Craddock, in cooperation with the Butte College
Foundation, to endow the Edward A. Craddock Water & Resource Conservation Scholarship for
the benefit of its recipients in fizrthering their academic careers.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors this twelfth day
of September 2006 by the following votes:
AYES: Supervisors Connelly, Dolan, Yamaguchi and Chair Josiassen
NOES: None
ABSENT: Supervisor Houx
NOT VOTING: None
