TO THE CORRECTIONS STANDARDS AUTHORITY
MENTALLY ILL OFFENDER CRIME REDUCTION GRANT
WHEREAS the County of Butte is seeking state funds available through the
Mentally Ill Offender Crime Reduction (MIOCR} grant program admizustered by the
Corrections Standards Authority (hereafter referred to as CSA), be it resolved that the
Board of Supervisors:
Authorizes Sheriff Perry Reniff to submit the MIOCR application on behalf of
the county and to sign the Grant Agreement with the CSA, including any amendments
thereof, on behalf of the county;
Assures that the county will provide all matching funds required for the MIOCR grant;
Assures that the county will not use grant funds to supplant expenditures controlled by
this body; and
Assures that the county will abide by the statutes governing the MIOCR grant program as
well as the terms and conditions of the Grant Agreement as set forth by the CSA.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of the County of
Butte hereby grants Sheriff Perry Reniff authority to apply to CSA for the MIOCR grant
and assures compliance with grant terms and conditions.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte this 21St
day of November, 2006, by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Connelly, Dolan, Yamaguchi and Chair Josiassen

NOT VOTING: None
