WHEREAS, California Business and Professions Cade Section 6321, subdivision {a),
[enacted by Statutes 2005, chapter 75, section 7J establishes the amount to be distributed to the Butte
County law library fund from the newly established state uniform filing fee at twenty-nine dollars
{$29A0); and
'WHEREAS a Resolution of the Butte County Board of Supervisors passed and adopted on
November 8, 2005 under the authority of California Business and Professions Code Section 6321,
subdivision (b} increased that amount to thirty-two dollars ($32.00), effective January i, 2006; and
WHEREAS, in an eleven and a half (111/2) month window opening January 1, 2006 and
closing December 15, 2006, the Butte County Board of Supervisors is empowered by California
Business and Professions Cade Section 6322.1 to further increase the amount distributed to the Butte
County law libraryy fund by up to three [additional] dollars ($3.00) if it determines that the increase is
necessary to defray the expenses of the Butte County Public Law Library; and
WHEREAS, the Butte County Board of Supervisors has determined that a further three
dollar ($3.00} increase in the amount to be distributed to the Butte County law library fund is
necessary to defray the expenses of the Butte County Public Law Library.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Butte County Board of Supervisors
requests that the amount to be distributed to its law library fund from the state uniform filing fee, as
referenced in California Business and Professions Code Section 6321, subdivision (a), be increased
by a further three dollars ($3.00) to thirty-five dollars ($35.00), effective January 1, 2007.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of
California, on the 215C day of November 2006 by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Connelly, DoJ.an, Yamaguchi and Chair .Tosiassen

NOT VOTING: None
