RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING
THE BUTTE COUNTY WELL CONTSTRUCTION MANUAL
WHEREAS, Butte County Code Chapter 23-B adopts the Department of Water Resources
Bulletin 74-$1 as County standards for the construction, repair, reconstruction, deepening,
abandonment, and destruction of wells, and
WHEREAS, Bulletin 74-81 is supplemented by Bulletin 74-90 to include provisions for
cathodic protection and monitoring wells, and
WHEREAS, the provision in County Code that adopts Bulletin 7481 as local standards has now
been amended to also adopt the later supplemental Bulletin 74-90, and
WHEREAS, the Public Health Department, in collaboration with industry stakeholders, has
developed a Well Construction Manual to address interpretational issues azising from the
implementation of the Bulletins,
NOW, THEREFORE, SE IT RESOLVED, that the Butte County WeII Construction Manual,
Revision October 26, 2006, is hereby adopted by the Board of Supervisors of Butte County to
provide the Public Health Department with interpretational guidance in the implementation of
Butte County Code Chapter 23B.
The foregoing resolution was passed by the Butte County Board of Supervisors this 12th day
of December 2006 by the following vote:
