RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE COUNTY OF BUTTE
AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS TO NEGOTIATE AND
ENTER INTO AGREEMENTS FOR ACQUISITION OF REAL PROPERTY FOR
PUBLIC ROAD PURPOSES AND AGREEMENTS FOR TEMPORARY
CONSTRUCTION EASEMENTS FOR THE
SKYWAY AND HONEY RUN ROAD SIGNALIZATION PROJECT,
COUNTY PROJECT NUMBER 51.262-06-1
WHEREAS, the Butte County Department of Public Works is charged with the
responsibility for studying, recommending, constructing, and maintaining traffzc control
measures within the system of County of Butte roadways; and
WHEREAS, the Butte County Department of Public Works has previously determined
that traffic signal warrants have been rnet at the Skyway and Honey Run Raad intersection as
established in the State of California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) Traffic Manual;
and
WHEREAS, the Butte County Board of Supervisors are charged with legally
establishing traffic control measures within the system of County of Butte roadways through
ordinances enacted in concurrence with the California Vehicle Code; and
WHEREAS, the Butte County Board of Supervisors have approved the installation of a
traffzc signal at Skyway and Honey Run Road based an the recommendations of the Butte
County Department of Public Works; and
WHEREAS, the County of Butte and the Department of Public Works has designated
County Traffc Impact Fees as the funding to be utilized to pursue and construct the proposed
Skyway Road and Honey Run Road Signalization Project; and
WHEREAS, the County of Butte must complete alI right of way and easement
acquisitions prior to construction of the proposed Skyway Road and Honey Run Road
Signalization Project.
NOW THEREFORE. BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County
of Butte, State of California, in order to expedite the acquisition of the Right of Way and
Temporary Construction Permits, authorizes the Director of Public Works to negotiate and sign
the Agreements for Acquisition of Real Property for Road Purposes and Agreement for
Ternporary Construction Easements for the Skyway and Honey Run Road Signalization Project,
County Project No. S 1262-06-1.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of
California, this 12th day of December , 20Q6, l}y the following vote:
