Resolution No. 0~-016
RESOLUTION IN RECOGNITION OF L. JEAN LEWIS
UPON RETIREMENT FROM THE BUTTE COUNTY LIBRARY
WHEREAS, L. Jean Lewis has announced her retirement effective February 8, 2007;
and
WHEREAS, Jean began her career with the County of Butte as an Office Assistant in the
Department of Human Resources in November 1991, and moved to the Library as a Secretary I
in August 1994, and was later promoted to Senior Administrative Assistant; and
WHEREAS, Jean's accomplishments include automating the Library's office functions,
a flair for producing attractive flyers and charts, and a willingness to tackle any assignment; and
WHEREAS, Jean has compiled and distributed "The County Voice" newsletter
bimonthly since the second issue; and
WHEREAS, Jean has consistently performed her duties with a smile on her face and a
positive, can do attitude.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that this Board, on its own behalf and on
behalf of the residents of the County of Butte, wishes to express to L. Jean Lewis sincere
appreciation for her many years of unselfish dedication and outstanding service rendered to the
residents of the County of Butte, and further wishes her well on her retirement.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of
California, this 23rd day of January 2007 by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Connelly, Kirk, Josiassen, Yamaguchi and Chair Dolan
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
NOT VOTING: None
