THE EXECUTION OF A GRANT AGREEMENT AND ANY
AMENDEMENTS THERETO FROM THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
ALLOCATION OF THE STATE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK
GRANT PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program
provides funding opportunities for small cities and counties for economic
development; and
WHEREAS, the County of Butte is eligible to apply for up to $500,000 for CDBG
Economic Development activities.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the County of Butte as follows:
SECTION 1.
The Board of Supervisors has reviewed and hereby approves application for a
CDBG Economic Development Grant in the amount of $500,000 for the
Continuation of Funding for the Butte County Micro-enterprise Business
Assistance Program
SECTION 2.
If the grant application is approved, the Tri-County Economic Development
Corporation will provide local leverage through in-kind services totaling $1100.
SECTION 3.
The Board of Supervisors has determined that Federal Citizen Participation
requirements were met during the development of this application.
SECTION 4.
The Butte County Chief Administrative Officer is hereby authorized and directed
to act on the County's behalf in all matters pertaining to this application.
SECTION 5.
If the application is approved, the Chief Administrative Officer is authorized to
enter into and sign the grant agreement and any subsequent amendments with the
State of California for the purposes of this grant.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors this 23rd
day of January 2007 by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Connelly, Kirk, Josiassen, Yamaguchi and Chair Dolan
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
NOT VOTING: None
