RESOLUTION HONORING THE LIFE OF PASTOR ADRIAN HILLS, SR.
WHEREAS, Adrian Hills, Sr., of Oroville, was the pastor of Wynn Memorial
Tabernacle Church of God and Christ in South Oroville; and
WHEREAS, Adrian Hills, Sr. promoted unity in the community, and worked to
spearhead the sidewalk project along Wyandotte Avenue and the annual Martin Luther
King Jr. event; and
WHEREAS, as the State Young People Willing worker, Adrian oversaw youth
programs throughout the state division of his church, and was also the superintendent of
the state division of the Church of God and Christ; and
WHEREAS, Adrian Hills, Sr. helped initiate teen programs and tutorials and
after school programs for youth, and also joined with others in the faith community to
address issues important to the community; and
WHEREAS, Adrian Hills, Sr. unexpectedly passed away on Friday, May 25,
2007.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that this Board, on its own behalf
and on behalf of the residents of Butte County, would like to honor the life of Adrian
Hills, Sr.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors this 12th
day of June 2007 by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Connelly, Kirk, Josiassen, Yamaguchi, and Chair Dolan
