RESOLUTION ADOPTING APPROPRIATIONS FOR
FINAL BUDGET FOR FISCAL YEAR 2007-2008
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of California
has heretofore approved a Proposed Budget for the County of Butte and held a duly
noticed hearing thereon as required by law for the purpose of developing a Final Budget
for the fiscal year 2007-2008; and
WHEREAS, said hearing was concluded on June 26, 2007, in the Board of
Supervisors Room in the Butte County Administration Building, Oroville, California; and
WHEREAS, the Chief Administrative Officer has submitted a written
compilation of the modifications to the Proposed Budget tentatively approved by the
Board of Supervisors during the hearing.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors of the
County of Butte, State of California, that the Proposed Budget, as modified by the
amendments set forth in Schedule A and Schedule B is hereby adopted as the Final
Budget for the County of Butte for fiscal year 2007-2008; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Auditor-Controller is hereby authorized
to adjust Interfund and Intrafund account appropriations and estimates to reflect the effect
of the aforementioned amendments and modifications, subject to review and approval by
the Chief Administrative Officer; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Auditor-Controller is hereby authorized
to adjust the Appropriations for Contingencies in each fund as necessary to balance the
fund and the budget, and, if necessary to balance any fund, and reduce said fund's general
reserve, subject to review and approval by the Chief Administrative Officer; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Auditor-Controller is hereby requested
to report all adjustments to appropriations and reserves needed to balance any fund to the
Board of Supervisors no later than September 25, 2007; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that if the actual General Fund beginning fund
balance available exceeds the estimate, then any excess fund balance available shall be
transferred to the Capital Projects Fund.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors, County of Butte, State
of California, this 10th day of July 2007, by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Connelly, Kirk, Josiassen, Yamaguchi, and Chair Dolan
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
NOT VOTING: None
