Resolution No. 07-135
RESOLUTION INCREASING THE AMOUNT OF THE
BUTTE COUNTY LIBRARY CHANGE FUND
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte has determined that
for the efficient operation of the Butte County Library, the necessity has arisen for the
increase of its change fund; and
WHEREAS, California Government Code Section 29320 et. seq. provides for the
establishment and maintenance of such funds in amounts to be determined by the Board
of Supervisors; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte previously adopted
Resolutions # 70-1429 (in the amount of $ 40), Resolution # 74-60 (in the amount of
$ 25), Resolution # 78-605 (in the amount of $ 45), and Resolution # 93-108 (in the
amount of $ 5) which total $ 115 for the various library branches pursuant to Government
Code # 29320 et seq ;and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors of the
County of Butte, State of California, as follows:
1. That there is determined to be a necessity for the increase of a change fund in the
Butte County Library for the purpose of making change when carrying on the
business of the library.
2. That in addition to the amounts authorized by the above resolutions, this resolution
increases the amount from the existing $ 115 to $ 150. An increase of $ 35.
3. Certified copies of this resolution shall be transmitted to the County Auditor and the
County Treasurer.

4. The Chief Administrative Officer and the Risk Manager are instructed pursuant to
Section 29323 of the California Government Code to amend by endorsement the
blanket fidelity bond of the County to be conditioned in addition to its other
provisions, upon the faithful administration of the Change Fund and upon the
willingness and ability of the principal for whom such fund has been established to
account for and pay over the fund upon demand of the Board of Supervisors at any
time.
5. The Auditor of the County of Butte is hereby authorized and directed to draw a
warrant in the sum of Thirty Five Dollars ($ 35) in favor of the Director of Library
Services, for deposit into the Butte County Library's Change Fund and to adjust
County records accordingly.
6. The Director of Library Services or his/her designee will account for the Change Fund
in accordance with Government Code Section 29390 et. seq. and will periodically
verify the amounts in the funds when requested by the Auditor-Controller or the
Board of Supervisors.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State
of California, on this 14th day of !august 2007 by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Connelly, Kirk, Josiassen, Yamaguchi, and Chair Dolan
NOES: None
NOT VOTING: Norse
