RESOLUTION IN RECOGNITION OF STEPHEN 1VI. BELL
UPON RETIREMENT FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS
WHEREAS, Stephen M. Bell, Road Maintenance Worker, Senior for the Department of Public
Works, announced his retirement as of July 28, 2007; and
WHEREAS, Stephen M. Bell began his career with the County of Butte in 1982, as a Road
Maintenance Worker I, in the Department of Public Works, advancing within the Department to become a
Road Maintenance Worker, Senior, his present position; and
WHEREAS, Stephen M. Bell worked as a Road Maintenance Worker I, Road Maintenance
Worker II, Road Maintenance Worker III, and Road Maintenance Worker, Senior in the Public Works
Department for many years; and
WHEREAS, Stephen M. Bell has earned the respect of fellow employees, engineers, surveyors,
contractors, and others involved in Public Wor]<s activities in Butte County, and has diligently served the
residents of the County of Butte for nearly twenty-five (25) years with distinction and leadership;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that this Board, on its own behalf and on behalf of
the residents of the County of Butte, wish to express to Stephen M. Bell sincere appreciation for his many
years of unselfish dedication and outstanding service rendered to the residents of the County of Butte, and
further wish him well on his retirement.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of
California, this 14th day of August 2007, by the following vote:
AYES: Sug~ervisors Connelly, Kirk, Josiassen, Yamaguchi, and Chair Dolan
NOES: None
ABSENT: Nome
NOT VOTING: None
