A RESOLUTION OF THE BUTTE COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
ESTABLISHING THE BOUNDARIES OF A TARGETED EMPLOYMENTAREA
WHEREAS, a California Enterprise Zone had been legally established under prior
enabling legislation and a new California Enterprise Zone has received conditional
designation; and
WHEREAS, a targeted employment area for the Oroville Enterprise Zone is required by
the Enterprise Zone Act of 1996; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to establish by Resolution the boundaries of a targeted
employment area; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors
as follows:
The Butte County Board of Supervisors declares, pursuant to he provisions of the
Enterprise Zone Act of 1996, Chapter 12.8, Division 7 of Title 1 of Government
Code, that the targeted employment area of the Oroville Enterprise Zone shall be
those census tracts 2500, 2800, 2900, 3000, 3200, and 3300 designated on the
map attached hereto as Exhibit "A" and by this reference incorporated hereat.
2. That census tracts 2500, 2800, 2900, 3000, 3200, and 3300 designated on Exhibit
"A" meet the requirements for greater than fifty one percent (51 %) of residents at
low- or moderate-income as established by the Department of Housing and Urban
Development using the most recent United States Department of census data.
3. That census tracts 2500, 2800, 2900, 3000, 3200, and 3300 designated on Exhibit
"A" are under the jurisdiction of the City of Oroville and/or County of Butte with
jurisdiction of the Enterprise Zone.
4. The Butte County Clerk of the Board shall attest to adoption of this Resolution.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors on the 23`d day of October,
2007

AYES: Supervisors Connelly, Kirk, Josiassen, Yamaguchi, and Chair Dolan
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
NOT VOTING: None
